Early Career & Present Day
In 2016, just after completing his Photography & Graphic Design internship, Ehizojie began his design journey as a Graphic & Brand Designer as a freelancer while still an undergraduate.
In 2017, Ehizojie obtained his BSc from the University of Benin and started working as a Graphic Designer at TSLNigeria in Benin City, Nigeria. After a while as a graphic designer, his curiosity grew towards UI design with the Sketch MacOS App where he pivoted to learning and becoming a Product Designer.
In 2018 - 2019, Ehizojie moved to Lagos and started working as a UI/UX Designer at Findworka, a Nigerian startup that hires software developers and builds custom software products where he worked on amazing projects with notable projects such as the Lagos City Marathon Website. During this time after working on various projects across different sectors, Ehizojie's curiosity grew towards the Banking & Financial sector which he then pivoted to.
In 2019, Ehizojie became a co-organiser of the AdobeXD Nigerian Community. A community where he mentored, trained and hosted events and workshops. Ehizojie also launched an online design academy - UXTHECLASS - collaborating with top designers across Nigeria to launch a successful cohort of 20 students where students were trained in various courses which further positioned me as an industry design mentor and educator.
In 2020 - 2022, Ehizojie worked with StanbicIBTC (Member of Standard Bank Group Africa) where he started as a UX Designer and then later on led the Experience Design team managing over 9+ digital products with an impact of over 2 million userbases nationwide and across the sub-continent region (West Africa)
In 2022, Ehizojie founded and launched an e-commerce platform, Benagos. With his co-founders, Ehizojie continues to lead the product development currently available for users across Nigeria offering a freemium and paid subscription service.
In 2023 to the Present, Ehizojie continued with excellence by joining Sterling Financial Holdings where he has made a significant impact across several digital products by reimagining the user experience and design of the flagship OneBank, design and product strategy for the Specta Loan Application and currently product manager for a CoreBanking micro service managing a team of C# and React Developers
